Opening Questions
- "Tell me about yourself." — Keep it to 60 seconds: your training, your specialisations and your passion for wellness. Do not recite your entire life story.
- "Why do you want to work in a spa?" — Be genuine. Mention what specifically excites you about wellness and helping people feel better.
- "Why do you want to work at this specific spa?" — Always research the spa before the interview. Mention something specific — an award, a treatment on their menu, their property type.
Technical Questions
- "Which treatments are you most confident performing?" — Name your top 3 with specifics.
- "How do you adapt your technique for different client needs?" — Explain your consultation process.
- "What product ranges have you worked with?" — Name brands (Elemis, L'Occitane, Kama Ayurveda, etc.).
Situational Questions
- "A guest is dissatisfied with their treatment. What do you do?" — Listen first, apologise sincerely, offer to adjust or redo.
- "How do you manage back-to-back bookings?" — Explain your room reset routine and time management approach.
- "What would you do if a guest made an inappropriate comment?" — Stay professional, redirect firmly, inform management.
Questions to Ask the Interviewer
- "What does a typical therapist's daily schedule look like here?"
- "What training and development do you offer?"
- "What are the performance metrics the team is measured against?"
