Resort Yoga vs Studio Teaching

Teaching yoga in a studio and teaching yoga at a resort or spa are completely different experiences. Resort yoga instructors work with guests who may be complete beginners, often in stunning outdoor settings, with accommodation and meals included.

What Resort Spas Look For

  • 200-hour YTT certification minimum (300h or 500h preferred for senior roles)
  • Experience with beginners — not just advanced practitioners
  • Good English or regional language skills for guest communication
  • Knowledge of pranayama, meditation and Ayurvedic principles
